Camille Staczek, RN, MSN
I am very happy to be a faculty member of the Nursing
Department.
I received my RN from a three-year hospital based program in Ohio. Many years later, I earned a BSN at Georgetown University, and three years later, a MS in Nursing Administration, also from Georgetown.
Over the years I have held positions as a staff nurse, a charge nurse, a head nurse, an assistant coordinator . I’ve done telephone triage, long-term care, and seven years of case management. I’ve worked in small hospitals, private hospitals, and a major university hospital (Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, DC). Now I want to take all the experience I’ve gained and use it to inspire, to teach, to encourage, to let the new nurses of today know that the opportunities for nurses are only as limited as their desire and willingness to try something new.
My love has always been cardiac, both medical and surgical. Most of my hospital experience was in post-open heart ICU. However, I find that teaching, and working with new students is even more rewarding.
